Shore Fishing

The best fishing sites are the rocky outcrops anywhere along the coast.  VisitScotland advises the angler to "head for rocky areas with a bit of depth and lots of kelp".  Thanks to the Scottish Outdoor Access Code, anglers are guaranteed responsible access to many miles of coastline.  Read more about the SOAC as it applies to fishing at:

This past summer (2021), the Chandlers at Kinlochbervie Harbour have been keeping a record of catches.  The list includes  sea bass, pollack, mackerel, whiting, ling and lemon sole.  If you have just an hour or two to spare, many visitors enjoy the relaxing but convenient experience of fishing from the jetty at Loch Clash.

Fishing Charters

North West Sea Tours (next to the Kylesku Hotel) offer fishing trips and private charters.  Telephone 07939 386 330 or 07766 403 072.  They also offer regular wildlife cruises.
