The Handa Island Wildlife Reserve is managed by the Scottish Wildlife Trust. Each spring, it is home to tens of thousands of nesting seabirds such as guillemots, razorbills, great skuas and puffins. There are towering cliffs of Torridonian sandstone as well as a level 5-mile walk around the island. Seals enjoying the sun
a short distance from the island are often sighted. Other marine species
that are spotted include dolphins, porpoises and minke whales.

Rock Stop Café and Exhibition Centre
Owned and operated by the Geopark, the Rock Stop Café and Exhibition Centre is one mile south of Kylesku (22 miles south of Rhiconich). The café serves a variety of light refreshments while the Interactive Exhibition (with virtual reality time machine!) tells the story of the landscape.
Knockan Crag National Nature Reserve
The Reserve, which is owned by NatureScot (former Scottish Natural Heritage), is one of the Geopark's key places to visit. Located 40 miles south of Rhiconich and 13 miles north of Ullapool, the Knockan Crag Exhibition and walking trail tell the story of the Moine Thrust when the collision of two continents created the unique landscape of the Geopark.
