Have Your Say on the Proposed Galileo Windfarm

Kinlochbervie Community Council Update

Update 23rd October 2025 - We’ve now received the responses from Galileo to the questions submitted by the community following their presentation to the KLB Community Council earlier this year.

These Questions & Answers are being shared here, on Facebook and also hard copies at the garage in the next couple of days so everyone has access to the same information ahead of the public meeting on Monday, 28th October at 7:00 pm in Kinlochbervie Village Hall.

Thank you for your patience while we waited for these responses — the Council only received them this morning.

N.B. Please remember that all correspondence about Community Council business should be sent to our official email address, klbcommunitycouncil@hotmail.com and not to members’ personal emails, as all members are volunteers.

The Kinlochbervie area accommodates a North West Sutherland crofting community with a modern harbour and nearby access to some of the most beautiful beaches in Scotland. It is a busy fishing port, yet despite its remoteness, has everything you would need as a stunning place to live, visit or stay a while.

We encourage slow tourism so that you can feel more connected to and immersed in the beautiful places that we have to offer you.

We want you to share in our culture, our history, our people and enjoy our beaches, our restaurants and our cafés.

Our weather can be changeable but our rainbows are spectacular, so enjoy the good weather, which we frequently get but when it rains look for the rainbow.
