At around teatime tonight a special little boat entered Kinlochbervie harbour: Ludo had arrived!
Ludo Benett-Jones is a very experienced sailor and has taken part in several fund-raising activities in the past, including driving to Mongolia and running the London Marathon.
This time he intends to sail a 16ft sailing dingy around the UK and raise £100,000 for Sport Relief 2012 and the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust.
The next stage on their 2500 mile journey, which started from Cowes at the end of April, is rounding Cape Wrath. No mean feat in such a small boat.
Ludo is accompanied on his trip by a troop of companions both afloat and onshore. Tonight they're all staying at the Kinlochbervie Hotel so say 'Hi!' if you see him and maybe make a donation to funds.
Today's leg of the journey took them from Old Dorney Bay, near Lochinver, to Kinlochbervie.
The stage was described as pretty tough, with strong winds and sharp seas.
Both men were looking pretty tired when they at last arrived on the pontoons in the harbour.
Depending on weather conditions they'll either make for Cape Wrath tomorrow or sit tight and wait for the wind to drop before making the attempt.
