25-04-10 The Edible Seashore
We're not in the habit of writing book reviews of plugging any particular publication but a recent release caught our eye and we thought it worth bringing to the attention of our visitors.

The Edible Seashore has been published in association with River Cottage and provides a wealth of information on all things edible that you might find whilst walking along our beaches.

To quote from their website: "For the forager, the seashore holds surprising culinary potential. In this authoritative, witty book John Wright takes us on a trip to the seaside. But before introducing us to the various species to be harvested, he touches on such practicalities as conservation and the ethics of foraging; safety from tides, rocks and food poisoning; the law and access to the shore, our right to fish, landing sizes and seasons; and equipment such as nets, pots and hooks."

It has a retail price of 14.99 but you can save 5 by ordering it direct from the River Cottage website.
