21-10-11 Wind Turbine Application
Highland Council have lodged an application for planning permission to erect a wind turbine at their depot between Kinlochbervie and Oldshoremore, overlooking Loch Innis.

The turbine they plan to use is an Evance R9000 which will be mounted at the top of a 15m galvanised steel post.

Under peak conditions it can generate 5kW of electricity per hour.

The image to the right shows their impression of how they think it will look when installed, although I'm not too sure they've got the scale right.

Highland Council's ePlanning website contains full details of the application and also allows members of the public to comment upon the application.
