|The first boats have started making use of the new pontoon moorings in Kinlochbervie harbour.|
|New pontoons have been installed against the harbour wall beside the old fish market building in Kinlochbervie harbour.|
They consist of a walkway parallel to the harbour wall, with a ramp leading down, and four 'fingers' standing out from this that will allow an additional eight boats to tie-up, with the capacity for more if they raft alongside other boats.
This is a simpler design to what was originally intended and it is understood that funding was not available to do more. For the time being these new pontoons will not have access to power or water but it is hoped that this can be provided in due course.
