|A recently released map showing when areas of the Highlands will be upgraded to new high speed broadband confirms that the west and northwest will be the last to be connected to fibre optic cables.|
According to the key, Kinlochbervie and the northwest corner of Scotland can expect to become active sometime between July and December of 2016.
This comes as a blow both to the many domestic broadband users as well as the businesses for whom a fast internet connection is essential.
Not surprisingly, Inverness and Moray will be the first areas to benefit from the upgrade. Isn't it always the same?
